Alexander Battery Technologies is delighted to announce that we have been nominated, alongside 8 of our peers, for the Insider Made in the North East Awards 2023 Manufacturer of the Year (under £25m) category.
What is the award?
The award recognises and celebrates the high-quality manufacturing and engineering businesses in the region and the skilled workforces they employ. As a result, this is seen by many as one of the most important events for the sector in the North East. The event showcases companies that have shown great innovation, fantastic growth or product development whether it is in a local or an overseas market over the course of the last 12 months.
Why have we been shortlisted?
At Alexanders, we had a fantastic 2022, a year that has seen strong foundations being put in place in order to achieve the company’s long-term goals. We are delighted that our; silver membership granted by the 5% club, our new roles goals and actions program, the growth of staff numbers within the business and the start of our site expansion project, have all been recognised by made in the North East as celebratory achievements. The award nomination award will give our staff the chance to be celebrated for the amazing 2022 that they helped the company achieve.
The award ceremony
This Made in the North East event takes place at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead Hotel on 16 March 2023. Should the company be successful in our region we will automatically be put through to compete against the winners of the other regions in the Made in the UK awards. This national final will take place in Liverpool later in the year.
